The Bleach franchise has enjoyed a series of successful games on the PSP, namely the Bleach Heat of the Soul and Soul Carnival games. Until now, none of these games have ever made it to Western shores, forcing most fans to resort to importing the games.
NIS America is definitely looking to change that, with the first game Bleach game to arrive on the PS3; Bleach Soul Ressureccion to arrive in US Shores in August 20111
Unlike the hugely popular Heat Of the Soul Games, Soul Ressureccion is not a fighting game, but actually a single player action game, similar to the Dynasty Warrior games to have appeared on current generation consoles.
Touted as a PS3 exclusive, with amazing visuals and covering the entire Hueco Mundo Arc of the manga/anime, Soul Ressureccion looks to be one hell of a game.
On the subject of Japanese voices, a grave concern of many, NIS America has had this to say on their discussion forums:
Trust me, we’re well aware of how important dual-audio is for some people. On any title we’ve released that didn’t have a dual-audio option, I can guarantee you it was for reasons beyond our control. Keeping dual audio is consistently at the top of our list for every localization project we get.
As of right now, Bleach is planned to be dual audio. So unless some issue arises between now and release that would make it impossible, you can count on having both Japanese and English voices.
Given how important Dual Audio is to numerous western fans including those of us here at Anime Evo, we are definitely delighted to know that NIS America is doing everything in their power to make sure it happens.
It is also of interest to know that Bleach Soul Ressureccion is hitting US shores in August, a meare 2 months after its Japan releaase of June 2011, under the name of Bleach Soul Ignition.
