As if you weren’t expecting a season 3, especially since Season 2 did very LITTLE to actually advance the plot of the series XD

Sankaku Complex reports:

Interesting news comes from the recent Dengeki Books Autumn Festival; those involved in famed tsundere magical girl anime 灼眼のシャナ / Shakugan no Shana appeared on stage “hinting” at the prospect of a new season.

Seiyuu Rie Kugimiya (Shana) and Satoshi Hino (male protagonist), the original author Yashichiro Takahashi, the illustrator Noizi Ito and the producer all appeared on stage as part of the event, discussing various aspects of the show.

Leaving their onstage antics aside, they soon let slip their surprise to the gleeful audience, saying with respect to part of the original work that “this may be turned into an anime later”.

For “may” you can fairly safely read “will”, as nobody would permit such an announcement otherwise. They soon left the stage after this, leaving the audience with the hint firmly in mind.

Agreed! Well I’m personally really glad we’ll see a Season 3 (not that I wasn’t expecting it). I mean… if Zero No Tsukaima can have a Season 3, so can Shakugun No Shana XD
