Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma Season 2 Announced!

In a welcome surprise this week, Shounen Jump’s upcoming issue cover has confirmed that a second season for Shoukgei no Soma is coming! More details are set to arrive when the issue in question comes out next week, but for now, fans of Shokugeki no Soma can breath a sigh of relief and celebrate!

I for one, noted in my episode blogs for the show, how utterly and completely bizarre it was that Shokugeki no Soma never got a season 2 announcement at the end of its first season. I was so crestfallen, in fact, that I actually never got around to reviewing the first season. This announcement though, makes me personally happy, and excited for next year, when the series should drop, maybe in summer or fall?

In any case, if you haven’t seen Shokugeki no Soma, then now is a good a time as any to watch it. With Arslan Season 2 and now this? 2016 is looking like another great year for anime already!
