Persona fans rejoice! A Persona 4 anime has been announced!

Unlike the first Persona anime series Persona ~Trinity Soul~, Persona 4 is actually going to include characters from the actual game and be a more direct adaption of the game.

This is definitely good news, I personally wasn’t a big fan of Trinity Soul,  as it really didn’t focus much on what made Persona 3 so cool and awesome, which was the whole “High School kids by day”, “Awesome Kids with powers by Night”.

Persona 4 is set to change  that, as it will definitely follow the plot of the game more closely, even going as far as to give the main protagonist of the game a name; Yu Narukami!

No word yet on when its airing, but we’ll definitely keep you guys updated!

  Haha this is great news! I’ve been going bonkers ever since I’ve learned about this. The lead characters from Persona 4, namely Yosuke Hanamura, Chie Satonaka and Yukiko Amagi are all going to be in the anime, along with the main protagonist. What’s more, they’ll all be voiced by their original Japanese seiyuu from the game! The MC is now named Narukami Yu, as opposed to the name he got from the manga, Seta Souji (yea, there was a manga of P4 too!). No word on any of the other characters making a return yet, but they might introduce Kanji, Rise, Teddie/Kuma & Naoto in the future.

  I only recently got around to playing Persona 4, and believe me, I love every minute of it! Maybe it’s the perfect blend of RPG mechanics and life-simulation gameplay that draws you in. The main hooking factor here is that your battles need to be played smartly by exploiting the weaknesses of your opponents. Plus, if you’ve always wondered how Japanese highschool life really is, you get to witness it first-hand.

  Anyways, there’s a lot of excitement abuzz over this new venture, and I’m pretty sure a lot of people are gonna expect nothing but sheer awesomeness from this anime. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see what turns up on “Mayonaka Terebi” ~
