Opinions: (A)

Again, a phenomenal episode for a great show! Not a lot happened, but there was plenty of emotion and heart buried in the events that took place in this episode.

I think the talk that Shujin (Takagi) and Saiko (Moritaka) have with each other, was handeled really well, and this is pretty much the scene where Shujin gains Saiko’s respect and trust. I think the logic that Shujin used was very well delivered and really appealed to the logical side of the once brooding and cynical Saiko.

I particularly loved the moving scene with how Saiko’s family encouraged him to chase his dreams. I think it was rather nice to have Saiko’s father give him the go ahead right off the bat, and even more moving was his grandfather giving him the keys  to his uncle’s apartment. I think this was one of the most moving moments of the early chapters, after which Saiko’s family really bleed into the background.

That said, it was also nice seeing Azuki worried about Saiko, only to settle down into a smile when she saw Shujin go after him. Its really obvious that she really trusts her man to Shujin, and while the relationship with Saiko isn’t the most perfect, and even bordering on weird, I really loved what Shujin said about it being unique and different.

We also got introduced to Iwase this chapter, and I don’t really remember if she’s shown in the manga at this early of a point, but I think her appearance here really fits. I love how Kaya is just randomly lingering around for now.

All in all, it was a nice episode that really built the foundations for how the boys will head on to make some really interesting ventures into the world of being mangakas.

Next week, we’ll have Saiko and Shujin in Saiko’s uncle’s apartment/studio. Things are gonna start developing towards them making their first work now! Can’t wait for next week! =D
