KyoAni Original Project Initiative

Popular Japanase Animation studio Kyoto Animation has launched a new website for their KyoAni Original Project Initiative. This initiative serves as a way for the studio’s creators to develop their original character concepts based on a theme and have them voted on by fans, and will be ranked.

The first project, which launched on Friday, is called “KyoAni Sisters” and has the theme of four sisters, two entries have gone live so far:

That said, it is not known what happens to the top ranked entries, perhaps they will be developed into an anime franchise? It seems like a waste though, because the 4 girl thing has been done to death by the likes of Lucky Star and K-On!
