Bakemonogatari prequel Kizumonogatari announced!

Fans of Bakemonogatari will be pleased to know that a series based on the prequel novel to the original novel, has been greenlit for production. Not much else is known, but one can be sure that quite a few fans will be dissapointed by the lack of Senjogahara or the rest of the Bakemonogatari female cast, as Kizumonogatari takes place before the series main character Araragi meets any of them.

The story deals more with Shinobu and Araragi, and whatever happened between them that led to him being half vampire. Fans who were curious about the whole thing will definitely be pleased to learn the events that transpired before Bakemonogatari!

The new title is a play on words, combining kizu (wounds/scar) with monogatari (Story).
