If there was ever a slow, transitional episode in this series, this is definitely it. I wouldn’t call this episode an unneccary one, as we learn several important elements, and find out a lot of what Kida’s current motivations are. Anri also is pretty much to blame for Kida’s whole surge back into the Yellow Scarves, as she lies about getting hurt by the slasher and such.

All in all, everything seems to be working into Izaya’s grand scenario. I’m curious to see what happens, as this episode was mostly about Kida realizing stuff, and the confusion and anarchy that’s slowly brewing. Its kind of obvious that, if nothing else, most of what’s going on is because of how the three friends decided to keep secrets from each other, rather than let each other know what was really going on. It can’t be helped I guess, as they really don’t know each other all that well, and they’re kids XD.

That said, I kinda didn’t cover this episode the week that I should have, so this is another double post. No preview as a result!
