I dunno if many people here know of Anime Blogs, or what the general scene is there, but something quite monumental has happened lately. An Anime Blog called Random Curiosity is closing down!

Random Curiosity was one of the first Anime Blogs, and definitely one of the best. They’ve pioneered a bunch of things and ways of writing about Anime, and most of all, they’ve always been consistent and regular with their updates.

The owner and creator of Random Curiosity, Omni, has been running the site for around 5 years, and he’s one of the nicest, most positive and well rounded Anime Bloggers and reviewers I’ve had the pleasure of reading.

For someone like me, who’s always held Random Curiosity as the standard for Blogging and the eventual goal, it’s really really depressing to see the thing close down.

Its like the end of an era of Fandom. I am glad to know that the other writer of the site, Divine, is going to keep the site alive, but since Omni did most of the posts and series on there, it’s like the end of a huge era of Anime Blogging.

If anything, this was the blog that inspired me to make Anime Evo and the soon to be released Manga Evo in the format and way they are today. If anyone is remotely into the world of Blogs, you should definitely give the site a look, thread through the post and Thank the guy for all the years he’s helped keep the anime fandom going in such a positive way:
