Shikabane Hime liscensed by Funimation

Yes, its official. Hardly two episodes, and Shikabane Hime has ALREADY been liscensed by Funimation. Of course, before you go screaming “Nuuuu!!!”, you’ll actually be happy to know that Funimation plans to not only subtitle the show and add it soon after it’s aired in Japan to their site. But they’ll stream it for free!!!!!

You can also download the Subtitled episodes at $1.99 an episode. These episodes WILL hoever, have DRM (Digital Rights Management) in them.

So yes, don’t be surprised when you don’t see Lunar Fansubs subbing the next episode. Instead, wait a bit of Funi to sub it and add it to their site. I admit, I’ve been very critical of Funimation and their tactics but… this is actually a step in the right direction. Taking a tip from GONZO’s strategy eh? Nice Nice! XD
